Your projects are each unique in scope, timeline, partners, challenges, opportunities, and their relation to past, present, and future efforts. So, you know it is important to design the right public process and support it with the most effective tools and techniques to achieve project goals.Join us January 30th for a webinar by PlaceMatters and Smart Growth America describing tools and techniques community organizers and agencies can use to effectively involve citizens and stakeholders in community projects. The session will include live demonstrations and descriptions of a range of technologies and techniques including:

·       Social networking and mobile technologies to broaden civic participation and add creative and interesting activities for people to become more involved.

·       Meeting translation and “go to them” tools and techniques for reaching demographic groups that often do not have a voice.

·       Interactive digital techniques for stakeholder meetings including “drag and drop” organization of brainstormed ideas, commenting and drawing on maps and images, prioritization with keypad polling, and the use of digital maps and touchtables to conduct real-time planning exercises.

·       Visualization and impact analysis tools for collaborative design and problem solving that help citizens understand tradeoffs linked to different choices.
